Hello everyone,

As of today, united.'s ranks have been simplified in order to reduce the amount of confusion and red tape. Some of the ranks we have right now don't serve any purpose any more, and thus these have been purged from the system.

From now on, there will be 3 ranks:

- New members will receive the rank of Ensign. Because of the fact that they're new, they won't be able to vote in elections or other important clan votes. They will also not be given any admin access.

- An Ensign may be promoted to Lieutenant. Lieutenants receive Junior admin access (tier 1, basically), and have earned their right to vote.

- Lieutenants may be promoted to Captain. Captains receive Senior admin access (tier 2, basically) and retain their voting rights. Captains will also be able to view the Central Command forum, which is where the Cabinet, the Executive and the Senior admins discuss and debate about issues.

Apart from these ranks, there is an Admiral who is responsible for evaluating and promoting members. The Admiral holds Senior admin access and has RCON on the servers. There is a Cabinet consisting of three Ministers who have Senior admin access + RCON, and there's the Executive branch consisting of the President and the Vice President, who hold full admin access to all united. servers.

I'm glad to announce that we've been having 3 servers now, we now are going back to having a GunGame server, a pub server with custom and default maps and a match server for the member's use to play against other clans.

Our CSS server is being updated soon, previouse updates have been:

Took out GunGame 4, updated CAL configuration, CAL maps, personalized those CAL settings to make it half-CAL half-pubber (as in time, ff, and some other small modifications).

Our Guild Wars guild, AO, is no longer a division of United. Over the past year or so, we've kept the guild as part of United, but we couldn't ever keep it "connected" to United. The recruitment was too different and we had many members of the guild that never actually became part of our community like we hope for all divisions. The guild was removed from United because of other complications too.

The AO guild still exists, just not under United's name. The new AO forums are www.guild-ao.com. Delete is still running the guild and the site/forums are still the same as this domain's was.

United hopes the best for the Aristocrats of Oblivion.

If you haven't read around yet, we've got a new Counter-Strike Source server open to the public. If you want to check the server to see who's in it, just check the trackers page. For additional information, such as links for donating or server statistics, check the forum topic here for all the information you need.

We also have a new CS:S Division Leader: ACrazyHobo. He's been pretty active in CS:S and he's been one of the standing few helping the division out. We thought that he'd be great for the spot. A big congratulations to him.

Finally, we have a returning JO Division Leader, Star*Crossed. Congratulations to her and best of luck in maintaining the JO Division.

UJ now has two 24-slot servers: one for JO and one for JA. We have also moved to EscapedTurkey instead of MammothGames.

We hope that everyone will use our servers as much as possible, and most of all, have a good time.

In the streets there was much nashing of teeth, wailing and screams for redemption. This is allegedly the normal delighted reaction to these events from the locals. A noted dignitary and long time resident, Biffa (152 years), was quoted as saying "About time the lazy, bureaucratic toads got their act together! Thank the heavens that is over. Now where the hell is my server!"

What will this term bring for the troubled community united. ? Who can tell? One thing is sure, it will be akin to flying through the Kepler 5 asteroid field at flank speeds in a Mark 2 Graphorkin freighter with no shields! What a buzz! All hands to the lasers united. ! Go go go ....
